Vintage Shawnee Pottery Co. Duck Milk Pitcher - See photos

Adorable vintage Shawnee Pottery figural bird milk pitcher, dating to approximately the 1940s–early 1950s. This whimsical ceramic pitcher is shaped like a plump bird or duck, complete with a sculpted head, feather detailing, bow tie and bright yellow beak.

Shawnee Pottery operated in Zanesville, Ohio from 1937–1961 and became well known for its playful figural kitchenware and pottery. 

This example has a creamy white glazed finish with remnants of its original painted details. Noticeable paint loss is present, particularly on the beak and other originally cold-painted areas, which is common on these older decorated pieces.

Such a fun piece for a vintage kitchen, cottage, farmhouse or kitschy collected display. It could also be styled decoratively with dried florals or greenery.

Condition: Vintage condition with visible age-related wear and substantial loss to the original painted accents. Surface wear and other minor imperfections consistent with age and previous use may be present. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition.
