Antique Stained & Crazed Brown Transferware Pitcher – Primitive English Country Decor - See photos
Details
Beautiful old brown transferware pitcher featuring a detailed pastoral scene in rich brown against a warm creamy-white ground. The elaborate border continues around the rim, giving this piece a wonderful old-world English country look.
This pitcher has heavy all-over crazing and naturally aged coloration, giving it exactly the timeworn character collectors of primitive and antique-inspired decor love. The brown transfer design shows areas of wear and variation consistent with age and use.
The underside is unmarked, so the maker, country of origin, and exact age are unknown.
Condition: This piece displays significant crazing throughout, age-related staining/discoloration, wear to the transferred decoration, surface marks and wear around the base. There also appears to be a hairline/crack near the lower portion of the pitcher as shown in the photos. Because of its age and condition, I would recommend this primarily as a decorative/display piece rather than for food or beverage use.
Beautiful for displaying dried florals, wooden utensils, old brushes, or simply tucked into a collection of primitive pottery and transferware.
Vintage/Antique Disclaimer: This is a vintage or antique item and may show signs of age and previous use, including minor wear, crazing, discoloration, surface marks, manufacturing imperfections, or other age-related characteristics. These are part of the piece’s history and charm and are not necessarily considered flaws. Please review all photos carefully, as they are considered part of the description. Vintage and antique items are sold as-is.
